Thought the car was ready to collect, but wasn't quite when I got there so had to wait about 30 minutes, probably my fault for not telling them exactly when I was coming.

Well there's not much interactions to let you know what's happening. The girl rang me and i was still in the dealership.
I was very impressed with the cost to do the brake fluid change as well as the video of the safety inspection, nice touch and very helpful. I'afraid I can't give 5 stars as the after service valet, inside and out, wasn't particularly good.

When my car is in for a service I am always confident that it will be carried out with great efficiency. Moreover, in May last year and the day before we crossed the Chanel to France, one of your staff mended a faulty window which enabled us to go.
My vehicle was booked in without too much delay. Transition to a courtesy vehicle was easy. A data record was sent to me to view the inspection.
In addition to the recall, I asked for a squeak in the boot locking system to be lubricate; this was done but it returned in a week

Booked car in for 14:00 phoned the day before to confirm I am still coming, asked to come in 10min before so they can do paper work arrived at 13:45 as it was busy did get to see any service reception people until 14:00 so a bit pointless really!!

Given a 7.45 time for mot.I got there for 7.30 but had to wait in a queue for 20mins before I was seen.
The staff were friendly and dealt with the problem promptly. But whatever action was taken doesn't appear to have resolved the issue as I had further problems on the way home yesterday (14th Sep) and my vehicle being taken away by a breakdown truck.

Did not require a courtesy car.However a member of staff drove me to a local venue I needed to visit.
In addition to a late call we had expected the car to be cleaned as it was offered and accepted. On previous occasions this had been done to a good standard. Unfortunately the car had been rushed through late in the afternoon and not cleaned.

Overall, service was excellent. The repair work I had done took rather longer than expected due a delay in required parts arriving but I was kept well informed throughout. The work was completed to a very high standard.
Phil who looked after me was excellent. The car was in for two days while a warranty repair was done. I was disappointed that Ocean omitted to do a wash/vac although it was on the job sheet!

Fixed problem wheel sensor
Ocean achieved an excellent repair job but did not collect our car on the afternoon of 13 July as Emergency Services had said they would, but only on the morning of 14 July. Contrary to our expectations return they did not return the car to us.
Only gave a rating of 4 because the standard of cleaning and vacuuming the car was only moderate. Helpful staff & car was booked in quite quickly. Frequent updates on progress of investigation/repairs.
The essential recall work could not be completed on the day due to lack of parts from BMW. I was told it would take at least 10 days. The loan car I was given was filthy inside with mud and food debris on the seats. I didn't argue as it was raining.
The service was fine. However I was asked if I wanted a free valet of the car. When I returned to it, it had been washed but poorly and no interior valeting done at all I find this extremely poor customer care.

Failed to resolve a genuine problem and were obtuse in their dealing with it. They did not investigate the fault, instead finding ridiculous explanations for the problem based on very minor scrape to the under tray.

Your service people always seem under pressure and are not as friendly and welcoming as they should be. In fact at times a little aggressive with there attitude. Not an experience you look forward to.

after seventeen years of owning a E39 i continue going there for its service ,mot and repair jobs so I guess I must be reasonable happy overall but downside sometimes have to wait weeks when booking car in because garage time full

It took two attempts to identify the problem, which I believe should have been put right on the first attempt. I told them what the problem was as I had it happen exactly in the same manner one year ago, but they wouldn't except this.
The car was ready before time they fitted my service in at short notice and there were no problems except my usual Service Reception guy has now left which is sad as he knew exactly how I liked things to be done.

We put my wife's beloved, but very ancient, X5 in for repair. The repairs seemed well done, but we were accidentally over charged by £190. The mistake was quickly rectified. One of the repairs failed, and this too was quickly rectified. Excellent.

See above - I have returned to Ocean for the past couple of years for my MOT/service as I've been to other garages who have ripped me off or patronised me. I always felt Ocean was a trustworthy brand and feel let down on this occasion.
On my recent visit I was disappointed. I had waited for my car and was told that the service was completed and my car was being cleaned. I waited another half hour only to find it hadn't been cleaned. They then "cleaned " it but it was very poor.

I was pleased that the windscreen wash was sorted this year - despite the same problem last year, the problem was not corrected in 2018. A more conscientious engineer in 2019? Car was valeted - but bird poo on a window and the boot space not brushed
