Ocean BMW have launched a £35,000 investment in their Body Centre on the Newnham Industrial Estate, Plymouth, which has seen a multiple benefit for jobs, technology and the environment.
The development sees the site upgraded so that it is able to service cars that are constructed from aluminium as well as the traditional steel. And, with both the new BMW 5 and 6 Series featuring a high percentage of aluminium in the body and suspension, the investment sees Ocean once again at the cutting edge of motoring technology in the South West.
"We've decided to make the investment to show our commitment to new technology and to the environment," stated Ocean's Managing Director Mike Evans. "Aluminium is going to become more and more prominent over the next few years in the development of cars, and as such it is important that we are ready."
