I have always received first class service from everyone at Ocean Plymouth
They did not test the car properly after the firmware update as Auto start stop wasn't working after the update, but worked well before. This was probably due to the battery becoming discharged below the auto start/stop threshold during the update.
The recent visit was for a recall carried out in the time frame advised in a competent manner.

Very professional treatment and attitude of staff.
The car was serviced and mot'd satisfactorily. Some minor faults were identified and communicated to me with costs to repair and timescales. I was able to make an informed decision on whether to have the work done or not.
The people in the dealership are polite and attentive, and very customer-focussed. In my experience, this doesn't always happen when I had to visit other manufacturers/dealerships.

I had an MOT in July, but I was not advised that my brake fluid needed changing in August. If I had been made aware of this I would have had this carried out at the same time as the MOT instead of having to make an additional appointment.

They kept me up to date with what was happening.
Prior to the service, I was informed what the service would entail and the estimated time it would take. Any additional checks I might require (new gas strutts for boot) were also dealt with. The car was returned nicely cleaned on completion.
Agree time, and advised it would be done in two hours including wash and the service was done within this period. I was able to enjoy a coffee and use the internet to work remotely. If I had a slight niggle it was the lady working in the café

The vehicle was initially booked for a safety check, and when the operative noted that other services were scheduled, these were quickly factored in to obtain the most effective use of time and money
did not feel the car required an expensive service with just over4000 miles on the clock
You diagnosed quickly the fault. After fixing that, I rejected your proposal of a 4-wheel alignment - suspecting the recovery truck had bent the steering. From completing this repair to return, it was 5 days and the transporter then damaged my car.

Still unable to connect our phones to the bluetooth system - this has not yet been resolved - looks like a problem with our i-phones but BMW staff unable to advise what this might be - this is the only outstanding matter

I was on vacation in the region and required unforeseen service work to enables us to return home safely. I rang Ocean Falmouth but was booked into Plymouth without being informed. On arrival at Plymouth I was told I was boooedminto Falmouth

I was not called to say my car was ready, I got Ocean at 18.01 to find the main door locked luckily there was someone there take the payment and release my car from behind the bollards.

Cost of service
The service was completed in a detailed manner in the time scale given
If the work which was done does not solve our problem then the cost will be over £1000 to fix it again. This is horrifying and therefore we are praying what the team did will work permanantly.
As above. There was extra work required but it was dealt with efficiently, in addition the cost was reasonable. All the staff we met were friendly and polite.
Not a 5 as when I booked the car in I was informed the car would only take one and a half hours. However when I arrived on the day of the service I was told it would be longer, which did impact on my work arrangements for the day.
Car was fixed and washed within 24 hours
On arriving we were asked if we would like a complimentary clean. When we picked up the car the exterior of the car hadn't been cleaned properly as there was still bird poo on the car. Was a bit of a let down if I am honest.
Polite and helpful staff. Good communication, no pressure selling. Was given a vehicle health check but this would have been a better service if they also ran a diagnostics check on the vehicle as well as a visual check.
